Customization on the Cross|Up is practically endless. In addition to Button Remapping and Hotkeys, you can determine how the separate directional inputs interact with each other. Using the "SOCD Options" menu at the top of the Designer Software, you can edit both the Input Method Priority and SOCD Resolution of your layout.
In this blog, we'll go over what Input Method Resolution is and what the options in the Designer give you access to.
Input Method Resolution
This is the option to determine how Left Stick (LS) and the D-Pad (DP) interact with each other. Both LS and DP activate directions, but because they're from separate inputs there's some neat things you can do.
Cross|Up (Hybrid)
This is the default option in the Cross|Up. It will output both inputs of Left Stick and Dpad when activated.
Example: LS Right + DP Down = Down-Right (numpad notation: 3)
D-Pad Overrides Left Stick
Any input of DP will override any input of LS, regardless of the directions - making it different and separate from what people call SOCD "cleaning."
Inputting DP directions alone will give you those directions.
Inputting LS directions alone will give you those directions.
But when input at the same time, DP will override LS.
Very useful for charge characters.
Examples:
LS Right + DP Down = Down (2)
LS Down-Left + DP Right = Right (6)
Left Stick Overrides D-Pad
Just like above, but with the input methods switched.
Any input of LS will override any input of DP, regardless of directions.

But when input at the same time, LS will override DP.
Example:
LS Right + DP Down = Right (6)
LS Down-Left + DP Right = Down-Left (1)
When you've decided which Input Method Resolution you want for your profile, select that option by clicking on it, exit out of that menu (either by clicking the "X" or pressing "ESC"), and then click "Save Layouts to Controller" in the top of the Designer window.
