Importing and Exporting Layouts on Cross|Up

We have many layouts that come with the Designer Software for the Cross|Up. Some take advantage of Training Mode, others are alternative ways to think of the games you play. If you're looking to experiment with these layouts, or create and save your own, you'll need to know how to import and export layouts.

Before you continue, be sure you have the Cross|Up Designer Software: Downloads Page

Importing

You can import layouts that are saved on your computer into the Designer to edit on your own and save onto your Cross|Up.

Select the profile you wish to edit/replace from the top left menu.

Then go to the Settings Menu on the right side of the window.

The settings menu should look like this. Select the "Import Layout" option. And then press "Browse Layouts."

This will give you access to the layouts that come with the Designer Software. All of the layouts are grouped together by type to help find what you're looking for.

Once you've selected the layout you want, the information for the layout should fill up the import window. Select "Send to Designer" to import it into the Designer Software.

From here you should be able to edit the layout, save it to your controller, and/or export it as a new layout.

Exporting

Once you have a layout that you like, you can save it to your computer for future use or share it with others.

Like before, use the top left menu to select which layout you wish to export.

If you want, you can double-click the profile name in the top left to change it. (You can do this later when you're exporting the layout too.)

Now go to the settings menu on the right side of the window.

 Select "Export Layout."

The export window should pop up and look like this.

As you can see, it automatically saves a picture of the layout for you to save with the file, but you can select "Use Custom Image" to put your own image in. In addition, you can change the name of the layout, put your name on it, and provide notes for the profile with it. All of this will save with the export and include it when you import it in the future.

When you're ready, select "Save Layout To PC." Give it a file name and location, and you're done! Now you'll be able to use and share that layout easily.

If you wish to save to or load from your controller, check out our post "Loading and Saving Profiles on Cross|Up."

If you have any questions, check out our other information on Cross|Up or contact us through one of profiles.

May your inputs be blessed,

Cameron
