Hit Box ULTRA Info Page

The Hit Box ULTRA continues the tradition of pushing the limits of what is possible in fighting games. The core advantage is that you have more deliberate control over your game, helping you make fewer mistakes in a match. Random execution mistakes are significantly decreased when you use your entire hand for motions, rather than your wrist or thumb.

With arcade buttons for movement, your inputs are naturally faster and your reaction time is improved. By utilizing the ULTRA speed C.O.M.B.O. Buttons, moves come out in the minimum amount of time possible in ways that are much more ergonomic than other controllers.

C.O.M.B.O. Buttons

C.O.M.B.O. Buttons (CBs) are Hit Box's own high performance, customizable arcade buttons that come pre-installed with the CB Ultra speed (0.3mm).

The Optimizer (OP) silences and shortens the total travel distance of your buttons press. Your Hit Box ULTRA comes with a set of twelve (12) pre-installed Super (1.0mm) OPs. Additional sets of Classic (1.5mm) and Ultra (0.65m) OPs are included.

C.O.M.B.O. Extensions

C.O.M.B.O. Extensions (CXs) are Hit Box's 2-in-1 arcade buttons. They add independent L3, R3, and TP inputs within optimal reach via the square Extension button. This increases reaction speed through reduced hand travel. Your Hit Box ULTRA comes with three (3) CXs pre-installed.

Rotation

Your CXs can be rotated to fit your comfort. Pinch the Extension sidewalls and gently lift while rotating.

Shield

The C.O.M.B.O. Extensions in the Hit Box ULTRA will also come with C.O.M.B.O. Shields that protect the square-cap of the Extension. For more details, check out our overview guide: C.O.M.B.O. Shield.

Customization

To change the positions or button mappings of the CXs on your Hit Box ULTRA, please use the CX Installation Guide: CX Wiring Instructions for the Hit Box ULTRA.

C.O.M.B.O. Grapplers

Included with the Hit Box ULTRA v2 will be our C.O.M.B.O. Grapplers. These are accessories that help keep your C.O.M.B.O. Buttons and Extensions in place so they do not spin easily or if the holes they are installed into are slightly too large.

Full details: C.O.M.B.O. Grappler.

This is still a product-in-development, so we are looking for feedback and we expect to make changes in the future. Once we are fully comfortable with the Grapplers, we will provide an update on them as a separate product - especially for those who have already purchased Hit Box ULTRAs and C.O.M.B.O. Extensions.
